Accept Your Body

Life is movement. Your body churns. Your thoughts flurry. You are always going from place to place.


Like with anything, acceptance is the way to understanding ourselves. By attempting to be still, we can be aware of how much we move. We can observe that there is space in between thoughts. We can notice the peak of our inhale, and the moment after exhale. What happens in those moments? Are we not also the silence in between?


Instead of trying to stop moving, start paying attention. Don’t suppress your body, embrace it. Don’t try to shut out thoughts, let them pass. Let things come, and let them go. You aren’t doing anything wrong, but you can do more good if you pay attention more, and fight less.
