How to Alleviate Anxiety and Depression

Neurosis includes symptoms of stress (depression, anxiety, and obsessive behavior). It is a condition of the mind. Not one that can be cured by supplements or treatments. It can only be cured by self worth. By having a strong purpose in life and vision of the future.

You must cultivate a self worth esteeming. You must create a self that you love. Anxiety comes from fear. Fear of your environment, other people, and uncontrolled situations. This anxiety is just as real as non anxiety. The difference between the two states is how you perceive the world. If you love yourself, you will perceive the world with love. If you do not love yourself, you will perceive the world with fear.

Depression comes from a non future. From nothing to look forward to. From a feeling that you aren’t enough. That you aren’t worthy of what you have. You must find a way to create a future you can go after. You must find a way to work today so that you can see more in what is to come.

The solution to anxiety and depression is not so easy. No one wants to be depressed. No one likes the feelings of anxiousness. It feels like these symptoms are just there. That on the inside you are still you, but the outside has no way to show it. It is not true however that you can do nothing about your symptoms. They have been alleviated by many.

Cultivating purpose and vision is an answer that involves everyday work. It means that you must find things to do that give you meaning. You must find a way to do work that you enjoy everyday. You must do things that you can see yourself improving on for the rest of your life. You must trust yourself to do these things. You must listen to the voice inside that is guiding you. It will not fail you. You know it is there and you that it’s the truth. You want to listen but you have denied. You have believed but you have not taken action.

Action is not as hard as it seems. You don’t have to the best, you don’t have to live up to any expectation. You are allowed to do something and enjoy it simply for the sake of it. You don’t have to do much. Even five minutes will do. Just do it and do it often. Then the world will once again open up to you.
